Employee Spotlight: Eddie Taylor

Here we are again, sitting down with one of our team members to learn more about them. We love learning about our team! This month we are talking to Eddie Taylor, a Reconditioning Manager at our Chevrolet location. Eddie has been with the company for over 13 years now. We sat down and gave Eddie our usual “spotlight” questions and here is what we learned…

VanDevere: Hi Eddie, thank you for taking the time to sit with us. We will start off easy… What is the best thing about your job?

Eddie: My team is the best thing about my job. We have fun and bond daily.

VDV: Being a part of a team that works so well together and becomes friends is always rewarding. Great work building that atmosphere in the recon department. What is the best thing about VanDevere?

Eddie: The people! For me, I enjoy coming to work and talking and being around people.

VDV: I think we can all agree that it is great to see you walking around to all departments, being involved, and bringing positivity everywhere you go. In three words, how would you best describe VanDevere?

Eddie: Culture, trust, family

VDV: Cannot agree more. I think that these are great words to describe the values and people that work here. What do you like to do when you are not at work?

Eddie: Spend time with family and working out.

VDV: Nothing better than family. It's a great feeling leaving the VanDevere family during the work day and coming home to your family in the evening. What inspires you?

Eddie: My mother inspires me. She’s brave and worked very hard for my sister and myself to have a great life growing up.

VDV: That is awesome. Family is a great motivation to strive to be the best each day. Fill in the blank: I once met….

Eddie: The whole Cavs team at an event for the kids in 2016. It was pretty cool!

VDV: What a great experience and an even better year to meet the team since they won the championship that year. Speaking of a powerful team, if you could pick one superpower, what would it be?

Eddie: I would want to be able to teleport. I want to see the world with that power and be there in no time.

VDV: Great point! No time will be lost if you could show up in the state or country of your choosing. Where is your favorite place to travel?

Eddie: Las Vegas is my favorite spot to travel.

VDV: I have never been but I heard only great things. I would love to go to one of the big shows or see that new dome at some point. Now, do you have a favorite place to eat?

Eddie: A1 Steakhouse in Canton is my favorite place!

VDV: Sounds amazing. Steak is always a good choice. I will have to give it a try. A big thank you to you, Eddie, for taking the time to talk with us today. We appreciate your hard work over the past 13 years of employment with The Vandevere Bunch!
