2020 Silverado 1500 Introduces Three New Value Packages

The 2020 Silverado 1500 delivers various rolling updates and changes to the all-new model introduced in 2019. But one of the changes not yet announced is the addition of three new “value” packages for the WT (Work Truck), LT and RST trim levels.

Pricing information for these three packages is currently unknown, but considering the name in play here, we would expect them to be rather accessible. The packages are unique to each of the three trim levels listed, and include some of the more popular options bundled together into a single package.

We’ve listed the features of each package below, with all relevant RPO codes in parentheses.

WT Value Package

Let’s start with the base-model 2020 Silverado 1500 WT, which now offers the WT Value Package (PEB), which bundles together two popular packages, including:

  • WT Convenience Package (PCV):
    • Remote Keyless Entry
    • EZ Lift power lock and release tailgate
    • Tinted windows
    • Rear-window defogger
    • Cruise control
    • Power mirrors
    • Power windows, express up/down driver, power windows, express down passenger and power door locks on Regular Cab models
  • Trailering Package (Z82):
    • Trailer hitch with 7-pin and 4-pin connectors
    • Hitch Guidance

The WT Value Package (PEB) is not available with the pickup bed delete (ZW9) option.

LT Value Package

Up next, we have the 2020 Silverado 1500 LT Value Package (PCQ), which includes:

  • Remote Start Package (B59):
    • Remote Start
    • Content theft alarm
    • Rear-window defogger
  • Trailering Package (Z82)
    • Trailer hitch with 7-pin and 4-pin connectors
      Hitch Guidance
  • 18-inch Bright Silver painted aluminum wheels (PZX)
  • 265/65R18SL all-terrain blackwall tires (XCK)
  • All-weather floor liners (RIA, LPO)

The LT Value Package (PCQ) includes the turbocharged 2.7L four-cylinder engine (L3B) and can not be optioned with the Convenience Package (PCL), All Star Edition (PDU), Texas Edition (PDA), Z71 Off-Road and Protection Package (PDZ), Z71 Off-Road Package (Z71), Max Trailering Package (NHT), and rubberized vinyl flooring (BG9).

Also note that the 18-inch Bright Silver painted aluminum wheels (PZX) included with the LT Value Package (PCQ) can be upgraded to 20-inch aluminum wheels with Argent metallic pockets (RD4), or any other LPO wheel option.

RST Value Package

Finally, there’s the 2020 Silverado 1500 RST Value Package (PCR), which includes:

  • Trailering Package (Z82):
    • Trailer hitch with 7-pin and 4-pin connectors
      Hitch Guidance
  • 20-inch aluminum wheels with Argent metallic pockets (RD4)
