Community Outreach: IDEA HOUSE

Thank you to all our VanDevere volunteers for taking time out of work to support this months organization, IDEA House! 

IDEA House is an educational and intervention service for K-12 children with autism. They are a faith based program that, “… strive to maintain a fervent and dedicated spirit that remains faithful & perseveres in the midst of difficulty.” Currently they have 30 kids attending the school. The staff is so supportive, kind, and caring. They even gave the team a tour of the classrooms and explained how they began. Initially the grounds were a turkey farm house, now converted into a school house. There are currently 17 staff members ready to help the children and grow the organization.

The VanDevere team is grateful for the experience to help the members of IDEA House. They were able to organize and clean their supply rooms filled with crafts, science projects, holiday decorations, paperwork and more. Beyond thankful for the opportunity to support such an amazing group. Looking forward to the next volunteer event. Thank you VanDevere team and IDEA House for all you do!
