Those who have been waiting for a next-generation Tahoe and Suburban won’t have to wait long. According to a report by the GM Authority, both SUVs will get a full revamp really soon – as in December 10 soon.

Chevrolet is mum about the launch of its biggest cars, with spy shots proliferating everywhere, giving birth to several speculations about the high-riding models. However, the latest report shows that an imminent reveal is up and we’re on the lookout for any teaser by the Golden Bowtie.

As we have reported before and as seen on the photographs sent in by our spies, both the Tahoe and Suburban will be riding on independent rear suspension setup. With that said, Chevy is positioning itself on the same ground as its rivals in the segment, most notably the Ford Expedition.

With an independent suspension in place, the Tahoe and Suburban will both benefit from better ride quality and more cavernous rear space – prominent gripes in the current models. Leaving the live axle setup behind will also benefit handling, which has been a department where the Blue Oval has been triumphing over the Golden Bowtie in the SUV segment.

When it comes to the exterior design, the GM Authority reported that both SUVs will have a new fascia (of course) and lighting configurations (again, of course). But the most prominent part of the report was the inclusion of front air curtains for better fuel efficiency.

With the introduction of revamped versions of the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL will probably take place shortly since they share the same platform. Speaking of platform, the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban are expected to ride on the GM T1 ladder-frame platform – most prominently used on the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra.

Fresh Mid-Engine Chevrolet Corvette Photos Show New Details

We’ve seen tons photos of mid-engine Corvette prototypes and pieces over the past couple of years, but the cars are almost always wearing heavy camouflage. Because of that, it’s been hard to make out many details. Today, though, one of our spy photographers sent us a huge gallery of one of the least-camouflaged C8 prototypes we’ve seen to date.

One of the first things that stands out is the prominent rear spoiler, which represents a departure from past prototypes we’ve seen. That could mean this version is some sort of high-performance model, or perhaps sports an optional aerodynamics package, but only those inside Chevy know for sure. There’s also something new mounted on the driver’s side of the hood, which is probably just a testing device, but we’re holding out for an external tachometer or boost gauge or a GM stock-price ticker. This example appears to wear the same five-spoke wheels we saw on a car testing on the Nürburgring last year.

Even though most of the car is disguised with little more than a wrap, Chevrolet made sure to keep the front and rear ends under much heavier camouflage. Looking more closely, it’s still a little hard to make out the shape of the headlights, but they do appear to be LED clusters with a turn signal closer to the wheels. Around back, you can also get a good idea of what the taillights will look like even though Chevy tried hard to cover them up. Interestingly, despite the Corvette going mid-engine, it looks like the taillights are very similar to the ones on the current C7. And we have to wonder if the rearview camera will be so prominent on the production version.

If you haven’t been following the mid-engine Corvette saga, here are the basics: The C8 will likely be more premium than the C7, judging by the interior photos we published in January, and features a unique center console with buttons arranged in single-file. We’ve also seen what is very likely the mid-engine Corvette’s key fob, which hints at a power retractable roof option. Engine choices are still unknown, but rumors have swirled of a carry-over engine serving for a year before giving way to a new dual-overhead-cam V-8 design, possibly involving forced induction. We expect the highly anticipated car to finally be unveiled at a special event in May of this year.

2020 Kia Soul Spy Shots

Kia dropped a second teaser photo for the new Soul, this time giving us a glimpse of the crossover’s new eyes up front. The lights are definitely smaller than before, and frankly, we can’t wait to see the revised front clip in its entirety.

The two-week teaser campaign for new vehicle debuts at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show is underway, and Kia is keen to be part of the drama. The automaker just dropped the morsel above for us to ponder, showing a small portion of the new Kia Soul’s backside. As far as teasers go it’s a pretty safe one, since the new Soul is still easily recognizable from such a close-up angle.

The big news is that its underpinnings are all-new and shared with the Hyundai Kona, which means all-wheel drive should be an option – something Soul fans have wanted since the very beginning. It will also get an all-electric variant that should have a range of approximately 300 miles. It won’t be a performance beast like the offerings from Tesla, but the electric powertrain is expected to deliver around 200 horsepower (150 kilowatts) so it shouldn’t be boring, either. Gasoline-powered Souls should have a choice of either a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-pot, or a 1.6-liter turbo.

Kia will reveal the new crossover in just a couple weeks at the LA Auto Show, and we expect to see the electric version there as well. We’ll have boots on the ground to bring you all the latest news and photos from the event.
