It is not every day that Chevrolet makes a car so powerful; so purpose-built as the Z/28, that they can say they can put down track times faster than cars two to three times as expensive, but today is one of those days. Chevrolet just posted a video of the upcoming Z/28’s lap of the famed Nurburgring, running around it’s fabled laps in 7:37:47. That puts the Z/28 past the the 911 and Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, making it the fastest Camaro ever. For those just climbing out from under a rock, Chevrolet showed off the very unique Z/28 at this year’s New York International Auto Show, wearing unique body panels, a seven-liter naturally aspirated LS7 V8 making 505 horsepower, stripped down and designed to do one thing: race.
