The Kia Telluride has earned a 2020 Edmunds Top Rated Award, taking the win in its category to earn the title of Top Rated SUV.

“We ‘gave it everything’ during each phase of the Telluride’s development, making sure that quality and attention to detail were second to none,” said Michael Cole, president, Kia Motors America (KMA). “For the esteemed Edmunds experts to recognize the Telluride as one of the best vehicles on the road today is a grand achievement and yet another validation of Kia’s commitment to building world-class vehicles.”

The 2020 Edmunds Top Rated Awards honor the overall best vehicles of the year based on their extensive vehicle testing and rating process. An Edmunds Top Rated Award represents the “gold standard of automotive excellence” and signifies that a vehicle is one of the best-of-the-best on the road today. Rather than honoring the newest vehicles – which may not be available yet – Edmunds Top Rated provides a list of the seven best vehicles that shoppers can actually buy now.

“Stylish, roomy and practical, Kia hit it out of the park with the 2020 Telluride. Not only does it drive well, but it looks and feels like a luxury SUV without the high price tag,” said Alistair Weaver, Edmunds editor-in-chief.  “No other SUV in its class is as comprehensively accomplished as the Telluride, which is why it is our Top Rated SUV of the year.”

Kia’s popular three-row SUV has earned lots of praise for its rugged looking exterior, modern cabin, and available features offered on higher priced luxury vehicles. Designed with families in mind, the Telluride is also available with family friendly systems such as Rear Occupant Alert with Ultrasonic Sensors, Driver Talk, Quiet Mode and more.

First Images of 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe / Suburban

From: https://www.motor1.com/news/380046/chevrolet-tahoe-suburban-december-reveal/

Those who have been waiting for a next-generation Tahoe and Suburban won’t have to wait long. According to a report by the GM Authority, both SUVs will get a full revamp really soon – as in December 10 soon.

Chevrolet is mum about the launch of its biggest cars, with spy shots proliferating everywhere, giving birth to several speculations about the high-riding models. However, the latest report shows that an imminent reveal is up and we’re on the lookout for any teaser by the Golden Bowtie.

As we have reported before and as seen on the photographs sent in by our spies, both the Tahoe and Suburban will be riding on independent rear suspension setup. With that said, Chevy is positioning itself on the same ground as its rivals in the segment, most notably the Ford Expedition.

With an independent suspension in place, the Tahoe and Suburban will both benefit from better ride quality and more cavernous rear space – prominent gripes in the current models. Leaving the live axle setup behind will also benefit handling, which has been a department where the Blue Oval has been triumphing over the Golden Bowtie in the SUV segment.

When it comes to the exterior design, the GM Authority reported that both SUVs will have a new fascia (of course) and lighting configurations (again, of course). But the most prominent part of the report was the inclusion of front air curtains for better fuel efficiency.

With the introduction of revamped versions of the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL will probably take place shortly since they share the same platform. Speaking of platform, the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban are expected to ride on the GM T1 ladder-frame platform – most prominently used on the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra.

More Information: 2020 Buick Encore GX

From: https://media.buick.com/media/us/en/buick/home.detail.html/content/Pages/news/us/en/2019/may/0529-encore.html

When the Encore GX arrives in early 2020, Buick will offer four premium SUVs across the three segments customers are shopping in most: small, compact and midsize. The Encore GX will be positioned between the smaller Encore and the larger Envision and Enclave models. It will offer new standard safety technologies* and its style and functionality will be just right for many of today’s buyers.

“As we look to the future of Buick, the Encore GX positions us strongly as a consideration for those who want to purchase small or compact SUVs,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president, Global Buick and GMC.

Today, almost 90 percent of U.S. Buick sales come from SUVs.

The Encore GX’s new standard safety and driver assistance features will include Front Pedestrian Braking, Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. It will also offer the Enclave’s innovative Rear Camera Mirror, which provides a wide, less obstructed rear view while parking and driving, and High Definition Surround Vision camera system.

Its spirited and efficient performance will be paired with a purposefully designed cargo space that’s almost 5 cubic feet larger than the Encore and about 3 cubic feet smaller than the Envision.

Product specifications and pricing will be announced when the Encore GX begins arriving at U.S. dealers.
